Psychologists claim that you can figure out a lot about a couple by their sleeping position. To some extent they can at least give us some kind of indication about how the cogs turn within a couples lifespan. Check it out below.
YOU SLEEP BACK-TO-BACK AND FAR APART
You’d probably think that this represents distance and that it lacks romance. However, as this is one of the most common sleeping positions, due to the practicality of it, it can also indicate that the couples are connected, secure and they have a strong trusting bond developed. This can also mean that the couple is independent.
YOU LOVE TO SPOON
Another common position. It can mean that one partner is the protector due to it being dynamic. As an addition, it demonstrates confidence, trust, and security. This is known to be one of the most common positions used also to help people who can’t fall asleep so fast.
YOU SLEEP BACK-TO-BACK AND TOUCHING
This often occurs in new relationships and happens when the partner’s butts are touching. It shows that they are both comfortable and relaxed with each other.
YOU START THE NIGHT INTERTWINED, THEN MOVE APART
This positions starts off when couples intertwine their arms an legs and face each other, but, after ~10 minutes, they move apart. It represents intimacy and independence.
ONE PERSON DOMINATES THE BED
If there is a toxic position, this is it. Indicates that one person is dominant over the other. If you and your partner sleep like this, don’t think it’s going to last.
YOU SLEEP WITH YOUR HEAD ON YOUR PARTNER’S CHEST
This is quite common in new and even rekindled relationships. It shows building trust.
YOU FACE EACH OTHER BUT DON’T TOUCH
This usually means that your relationship is emotionally demanding as you try to pull and understand each other but can’t seem to quite get there. This is a good sign that you need to work on your intimacy and close communication
